Morning Farm Tour 21st March
Time & Location
About the Event
Come along to the Backyard Jem farm and see how we regenerate our soils, how we grow our produce and how we live a healthy lifestyle off our block of land.
Experience nature and see how your produce is grown, as we visit our small-scale market gardens, food forest/orchard and the animals (cow, chickens, ducks). This will be a great morning out for the whole family - children under 12 are free.
All questions are welcome on the day and we will talk about food and health as everything is connected, a whole system approach while we explore the farm.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:
+ Gumboots or old shoes a must.
+ We will run the tour rain or shine.
+ Products will be available to purchase as well.
Shannon believes everyone needs to have access to the most nasty free, tasty, organic, regenerative, nutrient dense, local foods to improve well being and is wanting to support this however she can.
Shannon believes that how our food is grown can empower our communities to improve and remove illnesses and challenges from our people especially our children which is our new future. We can do this through improving our understanding of food security, resources, and nutrition, by connecting the people, the land and the foods.
Food connects us all.
